New Stuff

I had a great time with the Sand Trap staff last weekend... it was over way too soon. I spent a little time with Erik Barzeski and Dave Koster at the driving range and they had some tips for me that have helped tremendously. Here's what I gathered from the weekend swing-wise:

New pre-shot:
  1. Stand behind ball and pick line

  2. Aim clubhead first by reaching out to ball

  3. Settle into stance along intended line

  4. Wagle the tension out of arms and body

  5. Let it go

Swing Thoughts:
  1. Spine tilted away from targe

  2. Rotate around spine

  3. Drive the ball down the intended target line

  4. Pick the ball, no chili-dipping

  5. Let the club do the work

  6. Let hands pull you through

I think the chili dipping may be on chips... but the rest are for your full shots, yeah.

Of course, don't think of all of those things at once. Rotella would tell you to think of none of them, but one swing thought for me usually works out okay.
